VACANCY: Postdoc/Research Assistant - COMBI study

We are recruiting a 1 year Postdoc/Research Assistant in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning to help us understand the role of microbial and inflammatory exposures during pregnancy on preterm birth. Ideal candidates will have expertise in data science/machine learning and knowledge of core biomedical concepts. Deadline for applications is 15th February 2026. You can apply here

Barts Charity Doctoral Training Programme

Barts Charity Doctoral Training Programme is open for applications for PhD students starting in September 2026. PhD topics include a broad range of biomedical research projects focused on the health inequalities and major health morbidity/mortality experienced by the underserved East London population. We have proposed a PhD project examining the nasopharyngeal microbiome in children with wheeze and its association with future asthma and respiratory infection risk.

👉 Students select PhD projects after being accepted on to the programme. Current listed projects can be adapted following student selection for the programme.
